Learning Lab

Welcome to the Avon Community School Corporation's Elementary Learning Lab, where students may access resources focusing on ACSC's Technology Curriculum. These standards encompass 21st Century Learning Skills and the National Technology Education Technology Standards necessary to ready students for college and career readiness in the realm of technology.  These standards do not stand alone but will be integrated with Common Core State Standards across content areas.

Creativity and Innovation

Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology.

Communication and Collaboration

Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance, to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others.

Research and Information Fluency

Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information.

Technology Operations and Concepts

Students use technology resources for solving problems and making informed decisions. Students employ technology in the development of strategies for solving problems in the real world.

Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, and Decision-Making

Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources.

Digital Citizenship

Students understand human, cultural, and societal issues related to technology and practice legal and ethical behavior.
